📏 Anglais : Bigger, Biggest : Comparing Things

Texte de l’épisode

Salut !

The school is taller than the house.

On compare aussi des animaux : A bear is stronger than a fox. A horse is faster than a cow. Strong, stronger. Fast, faster.

On met more devant et than derrière, comme « plus ... que » : The tower is more modern than the house. A diamond is more valuable than a stone.

Pour dire lequel est le plus grand parmi trois choses ou plus, on utilise the -est, comme « le plus » : The tower is the tallest building. Tall, taller, the tallest.

Avec les adjectifs courts : the -est : The whale is the biggest animal in the sea. Avec les adjectifs longs : the most : The peacock is the most colourful bird.

Certains adjectifs sont irréguliers et ne suivent pas la règle : good, better, the best et bad, worse, the worst. En français aussi : bon, meilleur, mauvais, pire. Il faut les apprendre par cœur.

Quand on compare nos amis, on choisit des mots gentils : Ada is taller than Efe. Efe is faster than Ada. Sora is the funniest. Chacun est bon en quelque chose.

Résumé : -er than, more ... than, the -est, the most, et les irréguliers good, better, the best. Maintenant, essaie dans le jeu Tag Ping-Pong !
