📏 Inglese: Bigger, Biggest: Comparing Things
Episodio finito! 🎉
Testo dell’episodio
Ciao! Oggi in inglese impariamo a confrontare le cose: big, bigger, the biggest. Edifici, animali e amici ci aiuteranno.
Per confrontare due cose, alle parole corte aggiungiamo -er e poi diciamo than (di): The school is taller than the house. In italiano: più alta della casa.
Possiamo confrontare anche gli animali: A bear is stronger than a fox. A horse is faster than a cow. Strong, stronger. Fast, faster.
Nella scrittura ci sono tre trucchi: nelle parole come big, hot, sad (vocale + consonante) l’ultima lettera si raddoppia: bigger, hotter. Se finisce in y, la y cade e arriva -ier: happier. Se finisce in e basta aggiungere -r: nicer.
Agli aggettivi lunghi non si aggiunge -er. Si mette more prima e than dopo, proprio come il nostro più ... di: The tower is more modern than the house. A diamond is more valuable than a stone.
Tra tre o più cose, per dire qual è la più alta (il più alto) usiamo the -est: The tower is the tallest building. Tall, taller, the tallest.
Con gli aggettivi corti: the -est: The whale is the biggest animal in the sea. Con gli aggettivi lunghi: the most: The peacock is the most colourful bird.
Alcuni aggettivi sono irregolari e non seguono la regola, come in italiano buono, migliore, il migliore: good, better, the best e bad, worse, the worst. Vanno imparati a memoria.
Quando confrontiamo gli amici scegliamo parole gentili: Ada is taller than Efe. Efe is faster than Ada. Sora is the funniest. Ognuno è bravo in qualcosa.
Riassunto: -er than, more ... than, the -est, the most e gli irregolari good, better, the best. Ora prova nel gioco Tag Ping-Pong!
