Merhaba! Bugün İngilizce şeyleri karşılaştırmayı öğreniyoruz: big, bigger, the biggest. Binalar, hayvanlar ve arkadaşlarımız bize yardım edecek.

İki şeyi karşılaştırırken kısa sıfata -er ekleriz, sonra than (-den daha) deriz: The school is taller than the house.

Hayvanları da karşılaştırırız: A bear is stronger than a fox. A horse is faster than a cow. Strong, stronger. Fast, faster.

Yazımda üç numara var: big, hot, sad gibi (sesli + sessiz) sözcüklerde son harf ikilenir: bigger, hotter. y ile bitenlerde y gider, -ier gelir: happier. e ile bitenlere sadece -r: nicer.

Uzun sıfatlara -er eklenmez. Önüne more, sonuna than koyarız: The tower is more modern than the house. A diamond is more valuable than a stone.

Üç ya da daha fazla şey arasında en uçtakini söylerken the -est kullanırız: The tower is the tallest building. Tall, taller, the tallest.

Kısa sıfatlarda the -est: The whale is the biggest animal in the sea. Uzun sıfatlarda the most: The peacock is the most colourful bird.

Bazı sıfatlar düzensizdir, kurala uymaz: good, better, the best ve bad, worse, the worst. Bunları ezberlemek gerekir.

Arkadaşlarımızı karşılaştırırken kibar sözler seçeriz: Ada is taller than Efe. Efe is faster than Ada. Sora is the funniest. Herkes bir şeyde iyidir.
