📱 Using Tablets and Computers Safely
Episode finished! 🎉
Episode transcript
Hello! Tablets and computers are great fun. Today we will learn the rules for using them safely.
Some things are personal information: our home address, our phone number and our password. We do not tell them to anyone online. We can share things like our favourite colour or animal.
In a game, someone you do not know wrote “What is your address?” We do not answer. We tell a grown-up.
A password is like a key, and it is secret. Only the grown-ups who look after us know it. We do not tell it even to our best friend.
If the screen says “You won a prize! Click!”, stop! It is usually a trap. We ask a grown-up before we click.
Did a video or a game scare you? Close it and tell a grown-up you trust. It is not your fault.
Looking at a screen for a long time makes eyes tired. Take a break: move, look far away, drink water. Sit with a straight back and keep the screen a little way off.
Is it bedtime? Switch the tablet off and open a book. We sleep better when the screens are off.
Summary: I do not share personal information, my password is secret, I ask a grown-up about strange screens, I tell someone if I feel bad, I take breaks and switch screens off at night. Now try it in Robot Yolu!
